The City of Ormond Beach has announced the temporary road closure of University Circle in Ormond Beach on September 20, 2023, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for Florida Power & Light (FPL) and Pike Electric to replace two damaged power poles.
Residents residing east of 162 University Circle will be temporarily unable to drive in this area during the road closure period. To minimize disruptions, the contractor has contacted all affected residents along the street, and special arrangements will be made for residents with limited access to their properties.
To ensure a smooth transition during the road closure, residents whose access will be temporarily affected are encouraged to park their vehicles west of the designated work zone before the start of construction activities. Safety personnel will be on-site to guide residents safely through the work area and help them access their homes.
Upon completion of the power pole replacement work, University Circle will reopen, and normal traffic flow will resume without any restrictions.
If there are any inquiries regarding this road closure, contact the City of Ormond Beach Engineering Division at 386-676-3269.
