Pedestrian injured in car crash on Ridgewood Avenue.

Port Orange Police Officers responded to a crash involving one pedestrian and one vehicle at Ridgewood Avenue and Fitzgerald Street just after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The crash severely injured the pedestrian involved, and EVAC transported them to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach. The Port Orange Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit is withholding the pedestrian's name due to an ongoing investigation.
