Driver dies in Holly Hill motor vehicle accident.

Just after 4 am Wednesday, Holly Hill Police Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Ridgewood Avenue, which resulted in the driver's death.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a white Ford truck on its side, partially embedded into a building located at 1621 Ridgewood Avenue. The Holly Hill Fire Rescue and Volusia County Emergency Medical Services teams extracted the driver through the rear window before being transported to Halifax Health in Daytona Beach. The driver succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. 

Traffic Homicide Investigators are in the early stages of their investigation into the cause of the accident. Further information will be provided once the investigation is concluded.
