Volusia County Schools Prepared to Continue Volusia Live

During the Florida Board of Education meeting that took place Wednesday, Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran gave a new emergency order that allows virtual learning to continue into the second semester.

Volusia County Schools is prepared to continue offering Volusia Live as a virtual option for families for the second semester, which starts January 26, 2021, should the platform be approved by the state.

The district is hopeful funding levels will remain at the current level to support this choice for families.

In-person instruction in the traditional classroom and the virtual Volusia Online Learning.

Currently, 75% of VCS students are learning in the Traditional Classroom, while 15% are in Volusia Live and 10% are attending VOL. VCS works with every family to determine which option is best for their student.
