Volusia County Cold Shelters to Open ahead of the Cold Front.

As temperatures are forecasted to drop across Central Florida, including Volusia County tonight into the weekend.

Highs are expected to be within the low to mid 60’s for the remainder of the week. Due to weather forecasts cold shelters throughout the county are scheduled to open as soon as this afternoon.

News Editor, Kristen Schmutz, reached out to County Officials for a complete list of Cold Shelters throughout the county, but has yet to receive a response. If you or a loved one are in need of locating an open shelter to escape the cold temperatures, call the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office Non-emergency dispatch:
