The spirit of the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center pulses with the unwavering commitment of its dedicated volunteers, whose tireless efforts contribute significantly to the thriving arts community. If you harbor a passion for the arts and delight in connecting with the public, an exciting opportunity awaits as a volunteer usher at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center!
At the core of the center's operations, volunteers serve as the backbone, enriching the overall theater experience for patrons. Functioning as ambassadors, the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center volunteer ushers play a pivotal role before, during, and after performances, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for the audience. Responsibilities encompass the distribution of programs, guiding patrons to their seats, and helping with basic facility-related inquiries. Beyond these essential tasks, volunteers also have the chance to engage in various social events and activities held throughout the year.
Prospective volunteers must attend a comprehensive group orientation and on-the-job training sessions. As such, the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center is hosting an orientation and training session on Thursday, January 4, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center. Those passionate about contributing to the vibrant volunteer corps can access the downloadable here. The application deadline is Friday, December 29, 2023.
Commitment is vital, as volunteers are expected to sign up for three events (minimum) monthly from July through June. Individual requirements may be adjusted as needed.
Completed applications can be emailed to Marc.Schwartz@ormondbeach.org or mailed to the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center at 399 N. US Hwy 1, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
