Scott A. Selis is an Elder Care, Elder Law, and Estate Planning attorney. He is the founder of Selis Elder Law of Florida.
Scott’s practice focuses on making long-term care affordable for people that don’t have long-term care insurance by restructuring assets to qualify for Government Benefits. Scott also handles Probate, Trust Administration and Guardianship.
Scott was assistant Chair of the Florida Bar’s Elder Law Section, was awarded the Florida Bar Elder Law Section’s Elder Law Attorney of the Year in 2016, received a public service award from the Florida Bar’s Elder Law Section in 2012, and was Chair and Co-Chair of the Florida Bar Elder Law Sections’ Legislative Committee from 2012 – 2017. Scott also served on a statewide Task Force that advocates for the Elderly and Disabled,
Scott received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and his J.D. from Stetson University’s College of Law. Scott has been married to Kimberly since 1984, and they have had 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
