Safety Improvements at West Granada and Water Oak Lane

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) intends to move forward with the safety improvements proposed at the intersection of West Granada Boulevard (State Road (S.R.) 40) and Water Oak Lane in Ormond Beach. The planned improvements consist of converting the full median opening to a two-way directional median opening. This modification will continue to allow right turns onto West Granada Boulevard, as well as left turns onto Water Oak Lane. Left turns from Water Oak Lane onto West Granada Boulevard will be restricted.

In addition to the new median, the Department plans to add a new U-turn apron to the scope of work on eastbound West Granada Boulevard at the Bermuda Estates Drive intersection. The apron will provide a wider turn radius for vehicles making a U-turn from westbound West Granada Boulevard onto eastbound West Granada Boulevard.

Signage and pavement markings will be updated and the crosswalk at Water Oak Lane will also be restriped.
