Public Service Announcement from Daytona Beach Police Department on Bike Week 2021.

The 80th Annual Bike Week will be rolling into town Friday, March 5, 2021, and will continue through Sunday, March 14, 2021.

According to a release from Daytona Beach Police Department, hundreds of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts are expected in the greater Daytona Beach and Volusia County areas during that time. With Bike Week being amid the COVID-19 pandemic, some changes have been made to enhance safety for attendees and residents.

Curbside parking – especially on Main Street – will be more limited than usual to allow for proper social distancing. Overflow parking will be set up at designated parking lots near the Ocean Center. Motorcycles only will be in effect for Main Street. Other vehicles will be sent elsewhere or must receive special permission to access.

Some Daytona Beach merchants will be limited to 60% of normal interior capacity. Please be patient when attempting to enter these locations. Please follow the latest Centers for Disease Control COVID-19 guidelines to ensure everyone’s safety.

Daytona Beach merchants will be following CDC guidelines for facemask use and social distancing. Support and participation in that effort will go a long way towards limiting the spread of COVID-19.

Most of the crowds are expected to be in the following areas, especially at night: Daytona International Speedway, Main Street, Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, and Beach Street.

Excessive noise from loud pipes is prohibited by Florida law and the Daytona Beach city ordinance. Violations will be enforced!

It may be necessary to restrict traffic on the Main Street Bridge during peak event times to facilitate the movement of emergency vehicles.

Those wishing to enter or leave beachside are encouraged to use the bridges at Seabreeze/Oakridge or International Speedway boulevards.

When event traffic dictates, specific traffic patterns will be put into effect to facilitate movement in and around the festival areas.

Motorcyclists arriving and leaving festival areas via residential streets should proceed with extra caution due to pedestrian traffic. Resident and business access will be accommodated. Police officers will enforce designated residential/decal parking restrictions
