To maintain the integrity of the water distribution system, Water Distribution crews in Ormond Beach will undertake a critical operation tonight, Wednesday, October 18th, from 9:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. to replace a broken meter valve located at 1410 Hand Avenue. Residents and businesses near the affected area should anticipate experiencing a temporary disruption in their water service during this essential maintenance period.
Due to the broken valve, and anticipated repair work, the City of Ormond Beach has issued a pre-emptive Boil Water Notice for the area. This precautionary advisory is in line with standard protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of the community by minimizing any potential health risks associated with the water supply.
Citizens residing in the outlined area should follow the Boil Water Notice guidelines, which recommend boiling tap water for consumption purposes or utilizing bottled water until further notice. The city will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates to the affected residents as needed.
For further information and assistance, residents are encouraged to contact the City of Ormond Beach at 386-676-3209.
