Ormond Beach Police Department to participate in DEA National Prescription Take-Back Day.

The Ormond Beach Police Department will participate in the DEA National Prescription Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the lobby of the Ormond Beach Police Department at 170 W. Granada Boulevard in Ormond Beach.

According to a release, this initiative allows the public to voluntarily surrender expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutically controlled substances and other medications to law enforcement officers for proper destruction.

“I am proud to say that we are working with our partners at the Drug Enforcement Administration on this initiative. This program has kept unwanted prescription drugs from damaging our environment through improper disposal methods and hopefully has kept some dangerous drugs out of the hands of the wrong people,” said Ormond Beach Police Chief Jesse Godfrey.
