Halifax Health Center for Oncology
Our Centers for Oncology are leading the way in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer in East Central Florida. Physicians associated with the Centers for Oncology represent a comprehensive array of oncology specialties - gynecologic, medical, radiation and surgical. Affiliations with national research centers such as the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center, enable our physicians to offer patients the very latest and most promising treatments available through national research trials. Nurses, pharmacists, physicists, dosimetrists, therapists and other healthcare professionals dedicated to caring for cancer patients are also a part of the oncology team.
After cancer treatment has finished, Halifax Health will continue to monitor your recovery, manage any lingering side effects, and check to make sure the cancer has not returned. The Survivorship Program facilitates a positive transition from the end of active cancer care to optimal wellness after treatment. As part of a multidisciplinary, integrated team, the Survivorship Program provides comprehensive, coordinated after-care for cancer patients treated at Halifax Health.
