Embry Riddle Alumni Creates Safety Seat to Prevent Hot Car Deaths.

A 46-year old Embry Riddle Alumni has created a Child Car Safety Seat System that notifies parents via Bluetooth notification if their child is left in the car.

The car seat uses a weight sensor that is activated once a child is placed into the seat. The device connects to the driver’s phone, and if the driver forgets to remove the child an alert is sent to the phone. If the driver fails to remove the car after the first alert is sent, a second alert is sent to local authorities.

The kinks behind temperature, distance, time, etc., have yet to be determined.

The father of five created this device in an attempt to reduce deaths related to children being ‘forgotten’ or left in hot cars, as well as stopping other vehicle-related crimes. This device is Mahmoud’s way of putting an end to an on-going problem.
