A Portion of Airport Parking Lot Improvement Project Complete.

Construction continues on Daytona Beach International Airport’s $7.6 million parking lot improvement project, which began in December of 2020. The project includes repaving and painting of the short and long-term parking lots.

According to a release, the paving of the short-term lot has concluded.

Work continues in the long-term lot and rental car lots, and rental cars have been relocated to a section of the short-term lot temporarily.

“Due to parking spaces still limited in the short-term lot, travelers may have to park in the long-term lot which is a little further from the terminal,” said Marketing & Customer Experience Director Joanne Magley. “We apologize for any inconvenience as we continue to work on improving the customer experience at DAB.”

Customer appreciation pricing will continue to be in effect for the duration of the project. The daily parking rate has been lowered to $12, while the first 15 minutes of parking will remain free.

The project also includes repaving of Catalina Drive, Innovation Way, the rental car parking area, new way-finding signage, LED lighting, and canopies over the parking ticket dispensers.
